If he signs a max deal with another team this summer it'll be worth $110.9M over 4 years
If he signs a max deal with OKC this summer it'll be worth $150.2M over 5 years.
And if he wants until next summer to sign a max deal with OKC it'll be worth $208.1M over 5 years.

He'll sign what amounts to a one year deal with OKC then leave after next season

This has been covered a bunch.
He's signing a one year deal, wherever he goes.

as will every other superduperstar once their second contract expires, until the CBA changes or the TV deals dry up

yeah but at the same time, he's about to be 28. he'll be 29 by the time he signs the "2017 max" contract and do you really want to give 200 million dollars to a 29 year old 6'11 dude with injury issues.
yes he could hypothetically get that next year but i'm not 10000% sure he does. a bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush, he has that 300 million dollar shoe deal i think or something like that, it's not like he needs an additioanl 50 million dollars.
if he was a 25 instead of 27 okay. but right now he'll be 33 in the last year of his deal earning 40 million dollars for a guy who has never won a chip. i'll have to see it to believe it

People like Carmello Anthony, Chris Bosh, and Kevin Love have been getting max deals. Yes, as the amount increases it sounds worse but the comparison is always relative. A top ten player is obviously worth it when guys who probably aren't top 20 are getting max.

lol, one year...he's fine
Durant's game will be fine as he ages, so yes...you still give him the max. You're going to let him walk and sign who??? Nobody...

Someone will and most teams will try too.

You continue to make me laugh on this board when it comes to NBA related topics. It's like you go out of your way to post ridiculous shite.

He's going to the Lakers. He'll sign a year contract get acclimated with Russell and Randall. Next year Westbrook to a max and KD will get a max.

I love that people keep saying that it is all about the money and he would be foolish/dumb to not sign with OKC. But we have all just witnessed a few people jumping teams for less than max contracts (James, Bosh- 1st time, Howard, Aldridge, etc..). Everybody acts like it is just a given, but guys go for the best situation. Sometimes money isn't the biggest factor..
