If Jed York really does get rid of Harbaugh, does he become the worst owner

I say no,

The 49er job doesn't seem like a hard one to sell to good head coaches. He makes a great hire, people forget.

That is until the season starts.

Jerry is a top 3 owner in the NFL

He is a terrible general manager however

If Harbaugh has created a toxic environment and the front office and players don't respond to him anymore, then York doesn't have much of an option to be honest.

I don't think it would be surprising if this repeats itself in 3-4 years in another NFL organization.

There's no delineation between the two when you assume the responsibilities of both.

That's the main reason why he isn't highly regarded as an owner. He should know better...but the ego man, the ego

Since the Yorks took over, they ran off marrucci and hired Dennis erickson which ushered in a decade of awfulness. They've also hired Nolan and Singletary whom both failed miserably.

I don't like the odds of them making a quality hire

They made a mistake firing Mooch and replacing him with Erickson but it really wouldn't have mattered given what the 2004 roster had to look like due to the salary cap hell. That was basically a semi-pro team in terms of personnel.

Nolan and Singletary sucked from 2005-2010 but they laid a good foundation and brought toughness.
