If Cleveland wins, where does this team rank all-time?

Many people (including myself) had Golden St as an all-time team, like top 3 ever. Well if Cleveland wins, where do you put them?

IMO the 96 Bulls are the best and the 01 Lakers are right behind them. The 86 Celtics are in the conversation. Where do you put this Cavs team? With the '14 Spurs or the Heat teams before them? I don't think they are on that level but then again they cruised through the first two rounds and could knock off the defending champs / GOAT reg season team.

I don't know where or if I'd rank them.

I'd simply rank them....Lebron.

They aren't beating the 96 Bulls or 01 Lakers IMO. Those teams were just as physical as this Cleveland team.

Lebron wouldn't get much in the lane with Shaq either.

ETA:

But I think that's a testament to Lebron. Dude is just playing on another level.

Why do we have to over analyze a hypothetical that hasn't or might not even happen yet? Why is someone or some team always compared to the greatest or worst?

Why?

They werent the best talent wise, but they showed the most heart, toughness, physicality, and testicular fortitude when it matters most.

This is a message board where we discuss things like this.

I think the better question to ask yourself is "why am I getting so butt hurt over this?"

All-time rankings? Probably not even top 5.

All-time Clutch, Heart, and Beast Rankings? No. 1 obvi

Are you ranking a team or LeBron at this point? Kyrie definitely stepped up as well, but the rest have been pretty inconsistent.

I just think its a terrible take. I was more or less talking about sports radio, but yeah it's different on Message Boards

Not like a top to bottom ranking...you have to factor Lebron and Kyrie's impact and how they would fare against other teams.

Lebron is playing as well as anyone ever.

For the first time in LeBron's career he and his team will get the nod due to intangibles. It will all come full circle.

the cavs wouldn't be close to an all-time team.

it would just be an incredible performance in a 3-game stretch, mostly by lebron and kyrie.

if we're judging the champions this decade, they'd be above the 2011 mavs. that might be it.

I think the 2001 Lakers had 57 wins actually

ETA: Nope. They had 56. You're good

I agree, which makes the fact they beat the team with the most wins in NBA history truly amazing. If it happens

They just rank as a one time championship team.

Got to have more than one to be in a discussion.

I'm just happy to see LeBron play like he is hyped to. Best player of his time AND playing out of his mind is always fun to see.

I am not sure but they should be ranked close to when the Heat came back from 2-0 to the Mavs and won 4 straight and Wade went crazy.
