because they got Boston College and Arizona, two reputable programs that travel alright and will probably bring in much better TV ratings. Come on, BC has a Heisman candidate at RB and Arizona's RB should have been a finalist as well. I'm looking forward to watching that game, and if I lived in Shreveport, I'd probably buy a ticket.

Bowls cannot select a 6-6 team over a 7-5 team unless they are a contracted bowl. They could have taken a 6-6 SEC or ACC school, as those are the two contracted conferences.
