Son is all about baseball which is great. Went out today and "had a catch". Yes I thought of Field of Dreams and yes it got dusty outside.

What held me back was using his child glove while he used the new one we bought him. My glove is long gone. I don't want to spend 60 damned dollars on a glove to play catch with, but will bite the bullet if need be.

Thoughts? eBay? There used to be a Play it Again Sports in Houston. Are there any used sporting goods sites?

Be a man and barehand that shite. Saves money and he'll think you are a badass. Win/win.

Go buy a softball glove from Acadeny because you will need the 14" when your kid throws one wild toward the windshield of your wife's car and you have to reach to catch it. Also it's nice to have a big glove to hold about 6 balls when you are pitching to him. I have a mizuno glove that works perfect and it wasn't very expensive.

In the DFW area they have stores named Play It Again Sports, google it in your area. If not maybe something else will pop up, there are sports resale shops around.

I got a pair of Nike Cleats for $7.00, my son has gotten two season's out of them

Use a cardboard box and make it into a glove like the kids in the carribean. It will teach him how to become a pretty good ball player. Look it up

Best place in Houston is Budget Sporting Goods. It is strictly for baseball and softball. People that work there are awesome and will set you up with appropriate gear.

Tape a ping pong paddle to his hand. Soft hands.

Just ask around, one of your buddies has an old glove they no longer use. We have probably 7 or 8 in the attic, keep them around for family reunions, etc
