He ranks 5th all time in hits

He ranks 3rd in doubles

He ranks 15th in avg, 16th OPS, 17th OBP
He ranks 6th in runs
He ranks 6th in games

i have a lot of respect for him. But he started to compile numbers later in his career. And lets face it, he is behind just about all of the all time greats in these stats. In the big picture those numbers arent all that impressive considering the amount of games he played as a Yankee.

I want to see a Ibanez (40), Jones (35), Ichiro (38) OF. Does anybody know what the record for oldest starting OF in a game is?

His last good year was 04 (played till 06) but he was a decent player those last 2 years even though his number resembled more of a 4th outfielder/role player. Also Baloo will argue for a player who is considered a "compiler" because they have to still be semi productive to hang out. Even the greats hang out to compile a few extra stats to boost their totals.

Also to play the many game under Steinbrenner is an achievement into itself, especially never being traded or cut lol

it took me 3 minutes to find one short just 1 year (113 to 112 combined)

Rickey Henderson 42, Tony Gwynn 41, Bubba Trammell 29

Ray Lankford was 34 and on that team as well so theres probably a really good chance he player with Henderson and Gwynn.
