The last year or two there has been this group that sets up next to some of my friends tailgate at Cajun Field. Their tent is Alabama, they wear Alabama gear and they don't go to into the games. Just stay at their spot and watch the Bama game there. It's pretty bizarre and makes me laugh everytime because of the Lafayette/Alabama stereotype on here.

My folks in Lafayette are ULL/Bama fans. My aunt is a Bama grad, and my uncle is a ULL grad. My cousins go/went to ULL and are hardcore Ragin Cajun fans, and grew up rooting for Alabama, and still do.

You're right. I'm from Lafayette. I went to ULL. What I hate is the fact that a majority of that fan base can't get over the fact that we are not on the same level as LSU, we never will be, and the entire fan base needs to accept it because not routing for other Louisiana teams is about as selfish as anything I can think of for sports fan in our state.

Funny...last Fall in the Lafayette Target there was an entire endcap filled with Louisville gear. Any guesses?
Yeah...more than likely some local manager decided to order "UL" merch and someone at corporate sent them a shite ton of Louisville gear.

That's about as an asinine statement that you can make. I don't care one way or the other if LSU wins or loses, except when they play Bama. I hope they curb stomp those retards every damn year.
I also hope every state school aside from my Cajuns go 0-12. I never, ever pull for Tulane, LaTurd, ULM or any FCS team except SLU since I spend 1/3 of the year in Hammond.

With Southern and the Cajuns in the schedule y'all will probably outdraw the Cajuns this year again. It's two guaranteed sell outs.
