Y’all keep acting like Cincy would get wrecked by a “real” team as if they didn’t go toe toe toe w/UGA just last year.
Any good team can ball out in a single game with a month to prepare. Everybody thinks Cincinnati is good, I just don’t think many believe they’re deserving because of their resume.
The fact of the matter is that there are a good dozen or so teams that could go undefeated against Cincinnati’s schedule. They had a close call with the big tens worst team—now imagine them playing 8 more of those against superior opponents. You’re bound to slip up.

I hope the not only get in but win the damn thing.

So you want ESPN to get what it wants?

Cincy played a one game season and struggled in some of those G5 conference games.
The teams they "struggled" against also gave a ton of trouble to schools like Ohio State and OU so.... maybe, just maybe the AAC is a lot better than all y'all give it credit for.

You fighting the elitist. Good luck Doc

They beat Indiana on the road by two TDs and that game was played when Michael Penix Jr was still healthy. It was also played the week before they went into South Bend and beat ND's arse. But yeah, one game season.
Get outta here with that crap.

Finish undefeated and STILL get left out of the top 4. Just to stick it to their whiny Napoleonic fans and the unbearable fake media people that keep bringing it up.
I actually hope they get in and win a game just to shut up entitled power 5 fans like you. Perhaps, and I know this is a novel idea to you, but perhaps we could just let the best four teams make the playoffs? They appear to be one of the top 4 to me right now if you consider they beat Notre Dame, so head to head puts them ahead of ND.

You sound like an a-hole.

Sooooo, basically both teams have that same advantage, but it only counts if the expected team "balls out?"

They pulled away late after trailing for 45 of the first 48 minutes. Indiana’s best defensive player, a captain linebacker, was ejected for targeting late in the first half
Iowa beat that same Indiana team 34-6 two weeks prior and held them to 150 yards less than Cincy did.
Penn state shut out Indiana 24-0 two weeks after Cincys close call.

I didn’t say that. I’m not taking away their ability to win in one game scenarios, I’m saying their resume is not deserving of a CFP spot. Others like tOSU and bama and Georgia have to run the gauntlet, these fricks played 1 team that would have a winning record in a major conference.
They don’t deserve to play for a national championship because the skipped the tournament that went on all year when the real programs beat up on one another.

Oh ok so losing their LB negates CIncy winning BUT ignore that Penix was banged up all year when saying Indiana was a shitty team that sacred them. K.

So what? Mich State only beat them by 5 so it's not like they are devoid of talent.
Taking them down by two TDs must make them pretty damn good since, like you said, they were really busy prepping for their one game season against Notre Dame the week later.
Hot damn they went in not even giving a shite and took a double digit win! That's what champions do!

They finished 0-9 in league play; Michigan state and Maryland are the only conference programs that didn’t beat them by 3+ scores, and Maryland is the only big ten team to give up more points to Indiana than Cincy. Indiana’s average game score in conference play was 10-35.
Here are all the big ten teams that beat Indiana by 3+ scores and the number of points Indiana scored against it:
Iowa (6) - Penn state (0) - Ohio state (7) - Michigan (7) - Minnesota (14) - Rutgers (3) - Purdue (7)

I hope Cincy wins the whole damn thing.
I know that’s not likely, will probably lose fairly easily as a 4 seed matched up vs Georgia, but I’ll be pulling for them.

Houston has the 129th out of 130th most difficult schedule. Their opponents combined record is 48-91. Houston is about to play a real team.

The last team to make Georgia’s sphincters pucker was Cincy, and UC gave that game away. Their D is legit.
Exactly, they could have won that game.

Cincy should have won the game. they basically had it sewed up and so I went to do something else and flipped it back on and they lost. I assumed their coaches did something stupid.
that said, i hope they get left out since they are leaving the American!

I hope they play UGA in Orange Bowl. I think that game would be closer than people think.
