Brady's first year starting was a playoff run they won the Super Bowl. The game you're talking about was the year before and it was thanksgiving not game 3 and he was put in because of a blowout not injury so wrong again. And bellicheck made the playoffs won a playoff game almost got to the Super Bowl in 94 in 95 modell announced they were moving and the team quit but they were picked by plenty media outlets to go to the Super Bowl in 95 before the announcement was made so again you're wrong!!

Lol Brady took over during a playoff run when Bledsoe went down with an injury so no chief bellicheck had already turned the corner in New England when Brady took over.

Brady took over in the third game of the season. They were 0-2 at that point in time. They finished 11-5.

Yes but that was a playoff team and Bledsoe had to relieve an injured Brady during the playoffs to win one of those games also. It's not like Brady carried the team he didn't reach 3,000 yards or 20tds that year.

You keep saying that he "took over during a playoff run" and mouthing off about people spouting non-facts, yet you continually make this "playoff run" statement to disregard his first year starting even though the FACTS are

a. the year before they were 5-11
b. before Brady took over they were 0-2.

That's a tough one. Both have set certan standards that none of their contemporaries have been able to match. I think Walsh had better competition as far as other coaches of the era (parcelles ditka Gibbs noll Flores) but bellicheck has to deal with more turnover bad rules ect. Maybe Walsh because of the records his win pct Super Bowl win pct could be the tipping point. Personally it's hard for me to put one ahead of the other just like Montana Brady argument maybe even closer.

Yea I mentioned him he and Walsh were contemeraries bull Nolls Super Bowl days were gone by the time Walsh arrived he still had success after but never reached a Super Bowl again. Of course he and john madden ruled the 70s and winning 4 Super Bowls in the span of 6 years has never been done other than him. He gets the least publicity but he has to be top 5 without question. I also forgot to mention Tom Landry as being one of Walshs rivals also. The 80s had some great coaches.

Mouthing off? Lil boy you need to learn how to speak to ppl everything I've said about that season is 100% true. Did he takeover during a season that the team made and won a Super Bowl? Had the season started already? So it's a fact he took over during a Super Bowl run that's not debatable. Your narrative suggest that Brady is the reason they were great when his numbers suggest he was in the bottom half of the league as far as production (2,800yards and 18tds). Bellicheck and his defense carried and won that Super Bowl for New England I love Tom Brady but he was at best a game manager that season.

Yes great coaches my top 4 of the Super Bowl era would be in no order Lombardi, Noll, Walsh and Bellicheck. Mr. Underrated Joe Gibbs (3-1) should be included then you have guys like Shula 2-4 Rakim would love him lol Landry Johnson Parcelles on the fringe.

Great choices.. BUT to be fair Lombardi was only A coach for two SB'S... They won and the NFL was still young then... Gibbs won 3 SB'S with THREE different QB'S............ Landry was an innovator that most won't recognize..... Just look at the season records or Dallas from like 1967 to 1982... Its AMAZING......

The comment that started other ppl attacking me not vice versa like you are insinuating was if Brady loses this Super Bowl and falls to 4-3 he can't be considered better than Joe Montana. The retards went berserk and started telling non truths to tear down Joe Cools resume. I don't have any problem with ppl saying they're equal as of now Brady is my favorite qb in the NFL but I've seen all of Montana's Super Bowls too and he's as good if not better than Brady. That's all I said now the discussion got heated because non informed idiots started turning it into a fight.

Yes you're right he only won 2 Super Bowls but is the father of modern football and Landry actually came from Lombardi. He was the coach who transitioned into the Super Bowl era and his other titles were so close plus what he's meant to the game I had to have him in my top 4. I agree that Joe Gibbs doesn't get the respect he deserves in fact if have him in the top 5 his QBS all different like you said all had great production his rbs all put up great numbers. To me he's the father of the modern running game the single back sets were his staple and now are the standard.
