The rest of the world did not give a shite about women's soccer for a very long time. The US is way ahead of the world when it comes to giving women sporting opportunities. The rest of of the world does not have title IX.

People try too hard to look for reasons. The simple truth is that most people in other countries just flat out don't give a shite. It's the same reason some women's college sports teams dominate. Not enough interest to generate a ton of competition.

actually hes wrong

Every match was on free tv and the English media would not shut up about their national tv.

You won't find the rugby world cup on free tv and getting time on sports center.
