The Ravens play-by-play guy will forever be confused/associated with rapey Jerry Sandusky (no relation). Sucks for him.

I would think people would know Jerry is in jail and not working for the NFL.

I saw an interview in which he has been asked by hotels if he wanted to check in under a false name. He says he doesn't want to disrespect his parents by changing his name

Saw an article about that a couple of years ago. The good thing he has going for him is nobody outside of Maryland really knows who he is. And people in his local market had been hearing the "no relation" disclaimer for a very long time, since the local sportscasts always had Penn State news.
ETA: I wonder why he doesn't use a stage name. A lot of TV and radio personalities use an alias on the air for a variety of reasons.

It's probably still a little disheartening to have that name because of what is attached to it now. Everytime you write your name down, or have to speak your name for some reason, the first thought that's going to pop in people's minds is - "uuugghh, like that Penn State guy".
