Players get beat and make good recoveries. Harden was not in position to recover because he couldn't pick up a foul. What makes that play look so bad is that Harden is backed away from the rim like a kid playing against his dad in a pick-up game. But he couldn't work back inside because the refs would call a ticky tack foul.
