What pick is Simmons? Mid-lower teens?

He'd go behind Towns and Wiggins.

Really? Interesting. I don't know basketball well enough which is why I was looking forward to more expert opinions but seems like if they can work on him not being as passive I thought he'd go higher than that

I really am hoping Minnesota gets the top pick and grabs Simmons.

I feel like he'd be perfect in Minnesota with those two. I wish they could somehow find a way to get rid of Rubio.

It's more about taken the known commodities first.

That would be sweet.

LAL could be cool too with Russell/Randle and all that cap space.

Agreed. Was just curious at what type of player gets you to the point where Simmons upside would be too hard to pass

Also, it would be with the mindset of starting a franchise not just to win for 1 season so his age is a factor

I'd have to write it out, but there are a lot of young, established players in the Nba

You'd have to go pretty deep. The vast majority of star players in the nba are either just beginning their prime or haven't even reached it.

There's only a handful of star players that are on the back end of their prime right now.

I feel like both of these are awful fits, LA especially.

The Lakers have two ball dominant guards. Simmons and Randle are also near mirror images of each other skill wise with one guy being slightly better than the other in certain areas.

The Twolves need shooting desperately and Ingram feels like a perfect fit. I don't know how anyone can watch that team and think Simmons would be a good fit.

Philly is a perfect spot for him. They a ball handling playmaker like crazy. Him and Saric can both play together as enormously skilled 3/4's. He will also be given more time to develop his jumper there.

Simmons MAY be taken in the top 50 and that is pushing it. Most of the leagues best players are around their mid 20's right now and we have seen them at the NBA level already.

I may be way off here but I don't really think that Simmons and randle are that similar. There are some similarities but "near mirror images" seems way too strong

Randle given the same freedom Simmons gets at LSU then you would see it.

His summer league highlights probably show a lot of it best
