How would you construct your starting pro/college team?

Your best individuals do not make the best team/unit. What's so hard to understand?

Anyone over the age of 30 is out. Your prime is done and individuals NEVER increase any output after 30. It's all about talent and youth in sports and in the professional world.
SOURCE: I do this in every sigle sports video game and I always beat everyone's arse. Take my old players and give me your draft picks.

We all know what you are getting at, congrats that you are a Spurs fan! Really congrats that you have one of the Best-3 coaches if not the best of all-time. Congrats you were able to be very fortunate in the timing of multiple free agents and having upper management that works in unison with your entire coaching staff.
But look buddy nobody really cares as much as you think they do. Every team, situation, and league is different. This whole thread sucks, that question is so painfully marked by your admiration for what the Spurs have built it s really quite sad.
But Happy Mother's day maybe spend some time with those loved ones now!

Thank you for that, that about explains it all. But you are right about one thing nobody over the age of 30 in any sport has ever done anything worthwhile for a championship team

The Spurs were not even the thinking of the topic. It was watching NFL Redzone as it reminded me of John Madden saying I don't play my best players, I play my best team.
