meaning in today's game he'd get a LOT more opportunities to feast on the types of arms that would never have even made a roster in his era.
Current analytics have changed the game… how would Ted Williams do in the three true outcomes era? Nearly every pitcher now has stuff that would make them an all star back in the day

Williams was ahead of his time.
He was a 3 outcome guy. He led the AL in walks 8 times. Umps would tell young catchers that complained about a pitch call that Mr Williams will tell you when it's a strike.
He NEVER had a check swing in his career.
The shift that was so popular that they had to outlaw it was first created by Lou Boudreau of the Indians to defend against Ted. And it didn't change his philosophy at all.

This is not true.

And a modern day Ted Williams would’ve spent his entire life hitting “today’s pitchers”

I know it sounds ridiculous, but there’s not a person dead or alive who ever saw it or remember anyone who said they witnessed it
It has been a topic of conversation. I’ve read and watched everything there is on Ted Williams, and it has been discussed
Ted says he never checked his swing and challenged anyone to show or recall to him if he ever did. He played from ‘39-‘60 and was not liked by the press
Not one writer has said anything to deny his claim

Baseball is as close to an anachronism as there is in sports. I think you could take any star from another era and they would do fine playing today. Can’t really say that about other sports.

He's be the best hitter in baseball.

Because it is.
He had nearly 10k plate appearances in his career. There is zero chance some pitcher didn't make one pitch out of all those pitches he saw that caused him to check his swing. It's absurd.

Kyle Tucker is a Ted Williams clone with his swing

When he committed, he committed
I mean dude, c’mon
Ya think in 17 years of professional baseball if there were one time a pitcher made him flinch, he wouldn’t have claimed it?
He either pulled the trigger or didn’t
It was one of many things that set him apart. I’m sure there were pitches he regretted swinging at

All the pitchers he called the dumbest people on Earth, all the writers he pissed off, all the managers he played against, and every teammate he had.
Not one can recall Ted checking his swing
Not one time. And Ted himself says he never did.
I’m sure you know better.

Yes
Analytically, Tucker’s swing is the closest to Ted’s
Astros fans have called him Ted since he was called up. Bagwell didn’t like it

There have been skeptics. I was one of them, just like you.
It’s not like somebody came to this revelation recently.
It was talked about in the ‘70s. Don’t you think someone wanted so bad to say it happened. All those opposing players, writers, and teammates. What about Yankees fans?
It obviously never happened

He’d be a starter in CUSA. That’s about it.

No, because it is something totally irrelevant and no one would give enough of a shite to remember or brag about it. He still struck out 700 times in his career, no one is cumming their trousers because they got him to check his swing once.
Just using available statistics from the modern era, a super conservative estimate would be he checked his swing ~350 times over his career. Even if you believe players in his time checked their swing less frequently and saw fewer pitches/plate appearance, he still did it dozens of times at least.
It isn't fricking zero
