As a Duck fan you can imagine I hate Ohio State just as much as our rivals such as the Pups up north and Beaver, but that's because of the success they've had and it's come at the expense of my own team. Ohio St has the resume to (finally) back their trash talking.

They're up there with Alabama now meaning that until they lose, we can't write them off. Hell, it might take two L's once UM gets more national power.

Yeah, I was complementing them but apparently that was not good enough.

Debunked? Because they lose to Bama and become unranked when they would be ranked? How many could OSU say they caused to be unranked last year? I love when people negate the losses from the team they are talking about.

its pretty fascinating how insecure buckeye fans can be in defending their pathetically easy scheduling

the future ones are more challenging, however

No. Because they're over ranked to begin with and end the season with 5 or more losses. It's not difficult to comprehend.

Ok. But what is Urbans record there????? Like 50-4. That's great even at Boise.... They would not do that in the SEC and we all know it....BUT it's the big ten and he has recruited enough talent to still be on top.... FOR NOW.... Harbaugh is lurking and after this year it's OVER for OSU.......

They beat the SEC and Pac 12 champ to win the title. No matter what you want to say, they beat the champs from the 2 alleged best conferences. And they beat a team (Michigan State) on the road who beat the winners of the Big 12

Last year, OSU boatraced ND in the Fiesta bowl, the same ND who was within a field goal of both Stanford and Clemson, both of those games on the road.

I'm not saying OSU should be in the top 6 right now, I would have them in the 8-12 range myself, but they have beaten 5 TOP 10 end of year teams the last 2 years (MSU, Michigan, ND, Bama, Oregon) and Wisconsin by 60

Granted, I thought y'all were definitely the better team in that game and would have beaten us no matter what (and were probably the best team in the country post-MSU), but we were pretty damn beaten up on defense at that point in the year - we only had three starters left from August's starting 11 on D after Smith got hurt. I am not sure it is fair to compare the ND team y'all played against to the ones Clemson and Stanford played against.

Of course, I mean the worst quarter of that game was the first with both Smith and Bosa going out, Smith's being way worse for obvious reasons. I was more just saying teams people think were really good last year, and they were, were comparable to ND, who OSU beat comfortably. That ND/Clemson game was in a huge rainstorm right?

It's great. A recent NC and they are still the 5'7" guy trying too hard.

They way they have recruited, you know the talent is there. Unproven? Sure. But still talented.

I think their inexperience will show at Oklahoma, but other than that, I wouldn't bet against them.

I expect us to lose at Oklahoma but to grow throughout the season. Probably a 1-2 loss team but not one you want to play in the post season.

yeah, they might as well close the program down ... no way an organization like osu football can survive a harbaugh type guy ... i mean, it's michigan ... they've been kicking arse and winning titles the past 150 years, right?

Yes, it was a weird game. They kicked our arse in the first half and then went into a shell. Watson did not have a good game at all.

We stormed back in the second half when Kelly opened up his playbook. That was the game that really opened my eyes to Kizer - I think he is the real deal and could be a first round pick after this year if he has the year I think he might have; he outplayed Watson in that game. It also might have been the one and only time in his entire ND career that I wish Kelly had thrown the ball more; we started moving the ball pretty easily on them both in the air and on the ground when we opened up vertically. Just a bit too little too late, and we had too many TOs.

Of the three elite teams we played last year (you guys, Clemson, and Stanford), I think you guys were a fair bit better than the other two. It was a frustrating year for us - the team that kicked Texas' arse was probably one of the three or four best teams in the country, but Jarron Jones and Shaun Crawford didn't recover that fast, then Folston went down, Zaire went down, Tranquill went down, Prosise went down, Russell went down, Smythe went down, on and on. We were a skeleton crew by the end of the year.

I don't expect you to lose at Oklahoma. In fact, I think this is just the kind of game where Meyer THRIVES and Stoops chokes. Meyer teams don't typically perform well when faced with huge expectations (last season, 2007 Florida, maybe even 2010 Florida).

I think Ohio St wins this game and begins to make their case for a playoff spot with this win.
