That's been how I view Carolina, they just happen to play in a shitty division

Agreed. I consider them mediocre with a decent season sometimes and a shitty season sometimes.

It's actually probably yes. He had Steve Smith for a couple of years and resurrected his career a bit but outside of that it's been abysmal. They EASILY have the worst receiving corps in the NFL right now.

Panthers and Falcons will be competing for top dog in the NFC South for years to come. Should be fun to watch. And in a broader context it doesn't hurt that they'll each have 3-4 easy wins vs. division doormats NO and TB.

if Blake Bortles, Ryan Mallet and Josh McCown can play them close thru 3 games... im not sure they'll be a threat in the end once they start playing good teams.

zero pass rush and no threat at RB or WR. This team isn't that good .

Who has Philip Rivers had? Look at the stats. San Diego receivers have been way worse.

Steve Smith was great for them. Kelvin Benjamin was a thousand yard receiver last year. Greg Olsen has been very good for years.

Antonio Gates, LT the GOAT receiving back (maybe Faulk), Darren Sproles up there too, Vincent Jackson, Keenan Allen, Malcolm Floyd decent, had some damn good OLs too.

I mean, to be fair, don't all the teams in the NFL have "similar" talent? They have a similar amount of money to buy players

They have the same $ of talent. It may not show on the field, but they all pay the same amount of money for the players they put on the field. So in a vacuum they should have similar talent. Obviously that's why I put it in "" because the Browns have sucked forever and somehow pay crappy players year after year

I feel like there was a time when you didn't try so unbelievably hard to always be a troll, but I'm struggling to remember when that was.

Not sure what point you're getting at.

You can't do "more with less" when everyone has the same. Carolina doesn't have "less"

Some teams are better negotiators, and some teams value talent (Falcons) over depth (Patriots).

Seriously. They have a defense with league standouts, and have always had good receivers and an excellent tight end, until this year when they are admittedly winning with a weak receiving corps. Still, three games is a small sample size to blow your wad over.

What if they spent that money moronically? I hate intentionally thick arguments that are purely based on technicalities.

I mean the point of the salary cap is so everyone has similar talent. Just because New England wins more often doesn't mean they always have better players. Outside of Gronk they don't have a top 10 WR or RB. I was just saying there is no "more with less" in the NFL since everyone should have the same

No, but they have top 10 talents at what they do. Edelman and Amendola are among the top 10 shiftiest players in the league.

And you can out "technically" him by saying some teams also have a lot more dead money than others, ergo less money to spend on players.
