That deserves a big NO shite!!

There are 3 major universities in Florida (UM, UF, and FSU), in addition to numerous smaller FBS schools (UCF, USF, FIU, FAMU, FAU).

Care to point out any more dumb facts?

the thing to me is that doesn't include players from Louisiana that go out of state. IIRC it was one of the stats Saban used when he got hired at LSU.

Number may have gone up but the State of Louisiana per capita produces NFL players like California grows grapes

Small College in Alexandria/Pineville area.

Yeah, if you go on a per capita rate, Louisiana produces more NFL talent than any other state I believe. And that is players FROM Louisiana.

Could be wrong, I think he was asking who the NFL player is. I'm curious as well.

Who would win? A team of all the LSU players in the league vs the rest of the state?

QB matchup would be Matt Flynn vs Luke McCown, rest of the state has that advantage

Ah, good call. Yeah, wondered the same thing, but I would bet there are players on every team from obscure colleges like that.

Is this including camp bodies, or on regular season rosters? Because Bama has more on camp rosters than that, but they won't all make their respective teams.

Regardless of what individual school has most, it speaks as much to the talent in your state that La Tech has 17 NFL players as anything else. That's impressive.

The official roster numbers won't come out until Week 1, but last year LSU had 40 players on active rosters. Miami was next with 37 if I remember correctly.

It would be a better idea to wait until rosters are set and then count.

Cairo Santos
Matt Forte
Ryan Griffin
Ryan Grant
Lorenzo Doss
Taurean Nixon
Orleans Darkwa
Robert Kelly
Dezman Moses

That's 9. Don't know who the other 3 are.
Never discount the impact of bad coaching; especially at Tulane, which is probably the most coach-elastic school in FBS.
