4 more years of MVP caliber play, 8 more years as a top ten player. Depends on how much rest he gets during the season.
This guy has it about right.
There's still not a guy in the NBA who can take over for a stretch like James. There are guys who are still learning to do it, but you can generally muscle up on the best candidates (Curry, Harden) and make them rely on jump shooting, whereas James can still be a rugged rebounder and quality facilitator who plays through a lot more contact.
I expect he may drop off before the Kobe Mark, in minutes; Kobe's got him by about 10K regular season minutes more, and about 1100 in playoff minutes. Given his rate of minutes stabilizing at about 2500 over the next few years (he's had 2 of his last 4 under that mark, the others closer to 3k), he could play 4 more years at a very top level, then fall off. I expect that it may be a nagging injury that eventually limits him or cuts him off from being a top shelf pro.
Enjoy it while you can-- it won't last forever, LBJ fans.
Father Time remains undefeated.

I think Lebron will retire at 35.
nah i'll give him a few more years bc he'll take owning some individual career records as a challenge... in 3 years Bron will be 6th on the points list...

As a 24 year old, it's scary to think that I will live through the prep career, hype, emergence, successful NBA career, and eventual retirement of one of the greatest basketball players ever. Will be a weird day when he walks away.

LBJ has finished top 5 in MVP voting for 10 consecutive years. Only Kareem has done it more with 12 consecutive years. LBJ should pass him.

2-3 years. I mean, he's had very very very little injury problems...and eventually the wear and tear of all the playoff years gets to you.
