By competitive I mean MVP caliber play. I say this year and next year then we'll start to see him and his role regress and play more big man style ball.

During this offseason, I was thinking 3, but these back problems make me a little nervous.

I'd say he has about 2 to 3 years before Davis overtakes him as the perennial MVP.

As far as being an impact player, he could be a great stretch 4 into his 40s.

It's always interesting to watch superstars adjust when they lose some of their abilities. LeBron theoretically could still be very impactful, but he could be a detriment if he still thinks he can play iso ball.

Lebron James has played in 911 regular season games and an additional two seasons of games (178) counting the playoffs. He is entering his 13th year and in two months will turn 31.

I imagine LBJ has at least 4 more quality years if he can play less than 40 minutes per game. His back problems might keep him on the bench but I think Lebron needs to win more championships for his legacy to be compared to Michael. If Cleveland can win a title or two within the next four years, I think Lebron will retire at 35.

He's 30...born in December. I only know that because he was born the day after me.

I would say probably another 6 years

4 more years of MVP caliber play, 8 more years as a top ten player. Depends on how much rest he gets during the season.

3-4. His body has a crazy amount of explosive wear on it for someone so big. I feel his physical abilities will regress pretty quick when they do.

honestly i thought i started to see signs of him regressing last year. he's not even close to the athlete he was.. 3-4 years ago. no where near as explosive.

he was able to mask it because he's become a better shooter
