Large market New York Mets versus a well liked mid western Kansas city Royals. Average a 12 or 13?

honestly ratings will probably be bad. nobody nationally cares about either team. only saving grace is a new york team is playing, but unfortunately for the networks involved its not the yankees.

i had no interest in any teams in the final 4, but i would watch if toronto had made it just because of their lineup and the hate they get haha.

i don't think i'll be watching much of the world series with kc and the mets in it.. which is unfortunate, because no doubt both teams deserve to be in it and it should be a tremendous match up.

good luck to both teams.

I'll be watching...

I'm thinking games 1-4 average about an 8-9 rating and then if it goes longer around 11-13...

Has only been in that range (the very low end) once over the past decade and that series involved the Yankees.

Last year's series needed 7 games to avoid a record low. Might be a tick higher this year.

What I meant to say is that the Mets don't yet have a large national following that would dictate high ratings in the series.

Baseball is no longer a "national" sport, it is regional. It does great during the regular season but 90% of fans check out the moment their team does. I doubt we see baseball hitting 15+ anytime again .

Nothing outside of the NFL hits 15 on average anymore. 10 is the target these days.

It helps that the NBA has had either LeBron or the Lakers in the Finals each of the last 8 years.

ETA -- Last 9 years, actually. LeBron's first Finals vs. SA were a record low, though.

New Yorkers will tuner in, but KC is a tiny market. Ratings will prob be pretty weak.
