How good is Wichita State?

It really pissed off a bunch of the more popular analysts that they were only a ten seed but I looked at their schedule and they haven't beat anyone worth a shite. Their best wins are Illinois State, Colorado State, and LSU. They lost to Ok St, Louisville, Ill at and mich st. I get that their advanced stats are very impressive but they still never beat a team worth a shite. Their seed seems fair since the committee values beating high level teams. I think they're overrated, they didn't beat anyone all year. What do y'all think

Exactly. I couldn't believe how big of a fit was being thrown about Wichita being underseeded when it was very clear they struggled with better teams.

Why is that?
Kentucky is not that impressive overall
They have had good moments but way too inconsistent and young
They lost to an Indiana team last year who was not much better than what Wichita St is now
Remember when the Shockers beat a very good KU team three years ago

I can see Kentucky going to the final four. I can also see them losing vs Wichita State. Such a volatile team but I think something may have clicked for them vs Florida the second time and they're playing up to their potential again, like they did until their weird funk.

That team also had Ron Baker, Cleanthony Early and Fred Van Vleet. Those 3 all made it to the NBA. Big difference in talent from that year to this year. I think they could still beat UK but it's unlikely.

Talent wise they may not match up
Coaching wise and experience I believe they have the advantage

I saw them live and thought they were really damn good. I expected a fall-off after losing Van Vleet and Baker, but they still look legit.

Kentucky will beat them silly. Kentucky has 2 guards and a Big man that will be drafted in the 1st round.
Also, UCLA is the team you should be worried about losing early. They could get worked by cincinnati.
