DBs have also been inconsistent. LBs have improved throughout the season, but have been banged up lately.
So there is a big drop off when the other linebackers come in? How is your depth along the d line?

I have an OSU friend who says that have one of the best O lines in the country and we would have a hard time dealing with them.
1. They said this before playing LSU in the National Championship. Look how that worked out for them.
2. Ohio State has a significantly better chance of slipping up since they have to play Michigan State, than Florida State has of slipping up.
3. Bama would absolutely roll Ohio State.
Saban is too good right now. You give him a month to prepare and he isn't going to lose to anyone. He will find their weaknesses and he will exploit them over and over again. I think the only team that would have a chance to matchup against Bama right now is Florida State (and I don't even think they would have a very good chance).

Yeah, the LB depth is pretty terrible. DL depth is pretty strong though.

How many do you guys usually rotate? Not talking about in blowouts tho. The regular rotation

Offensive Line. Awesome. OSU leads the nation in YPC, 3rd in rushing, and doesn't give up alot of sacks (part of that is due to Braxton)
Runningback. Carlos Hyde is a beast and Kiper/McShay have him as the best senior RB and 2nd round grade. Speed, Power, size, and vision. Hes got it all. Combine that with some other decent RBs, one of the strongest corps in america
QB. Braxton has been pretty outstanding this year when he's played, save for 1 bad game against NW after coming off a MCL injury. Completing 68% of his passes, majority of the season hes been above 70% but bad weather conditions last 2 games have deflated that number a bit. Best running QB in CFB too when he's 100%.
WR. OSU has a good deep threat in Devin Smith. 6'1 200. Runs a 4.3 40, and a 10.3 100m (runs track for OSU as well) hes a big play guy averaging over 20 yards a catch this season
Corey Brown is a very shifty/quick slot receiver, good burst, reliable hands. Great route runner. Also a dangerous punt returner
Dontre Wilson is the x-factor. He's very similar to Percy Harvin, not as big and strong yet but very talented. Seniors say he'll be one of the best ever at OSU eventually
OSU's offense is top 5 in points per game, and top 10 in yardage.
Dline is the best part of the defense. OSU is top 10 nationally in sacks and TFL. Noah Spence is a former top 5 player in HS and has been a terrific pass rusher this season. 2nd in the Big10 in sacks and TFL. Great depth and talent at every position but hes a standout.
Linebackers. Not alot of depth but decent overall. Very good in the run game. Shazier is a beast and can play anywhere in the midfield. Extremely fast for a linebacker. Him and Von Miller are similar college players, hes just not as big. Other 2 are decent but not elite like Shazier
Secondary. Was bad the beginning of the season but has improved a bunch. Defensive zone scheme was a big part of the problem but they've gotten better now. Roby will be a 1st round pick, all-american last year but was slowed down beginning of the year with a back injury. Has played awesome since being healthy. Doran Grant is another highly ranked HS kid and has been great all year. Missing senior safety Christian Bryant due to injury but his backup has been adequate. Senior FS CJ Barnett looks like a 1st team all-conference player this year
OSU is #12 overall in defense, #10 in points allowed, and #6 in rush defense
Special Teams, this is where I think OSU has a distinic advantage (besides the return game for Bama-C. Jones) Punter Johnston is top 5 in the nation in every category. Senior kicker Basil is one of the best in school history. Punt/kick coverage has been terrific all year long.
All in all, I think OSU could give Bama a challenge if they brought their A game. They have alot of talent at most positions.
OSU is alot different since Florida and LSU. Upgraded team speed and depth. The Oline/Dline is the biggest difference though.

I don't pay attention to rotations as closely, but I feel like the DTs rotate more than the DEs. Two of the DEs also are capable of rolling over to play DT for a few plays. First time I saw it was Saturday, but they started dropping Shazier to DE on some pass downs.

Wow those are great offensive numbers. How tough are the defenses you have faced?

OSU has really only played 2 good defenses from the stats that I've seen
Wisconsin is top 10 in the nation defensively as well as Iowa
In those games OSU scored 31 and 34. Iowa coming into the OSU game was less than 100 yards rushing and didnt give a single rushing touchdown.
OSU rushed for 250+ and 2 scores.
Wisconsin has been really good since losing to OSU. Haven't look at their updated stats but they are solid all the way around. Great rushing attack too.
Braxton was not 100% in either of those games though. OSU probably could have scored 40+ vs Wisconsin but they shut it down in the 4th quarter after they were up 31-14 (dropped an easy Touchdown too)

Wisconsin and Iowa are both in the top 10 nationally in defense.

My guess would be 41-14 Bama....unfortunately
And the worst part about it would be that AJ, probably the most undeserving player in history, would win the Heisman Trophy.

Ohio State's offense is significantly better than ND's from last year. As average as the defense has looked at times, I still feel like it's better than ND's too.

Well he would have won it before the NC game.

oh yea woops. I actually think the LSU game this past weekend won him the Heisman, as weird as that sounds

Honestly I see Ohio State being able to score points similar to the way Texas A&M did. Ohio State can give up a lot of yards defensively; so I could see it as a very high scoring game. Closer than people think, just because the offense of Ohio State can keep them in games.

I think the Heisman goes out before the NCG. And I would also like to point out that tOSU has never beaten an SEC team in a bowl game (except Arkansas)
