According to stats, did JB make the 2008 pro bowl on name alone?

heck no. playing LT he only gave up 3 sacks. In addition, he graded out as the best run blocking LT.

Just saying Stinch allowed 1 sack in 6+ years, and JB allowed 7 in his pro bowl year.

You wait 5 years and see how the players' careers panned out.

ok Robinson may be the nickelback this year as a rookie. However, what about down the road? Greer is 27. He will need to be replaced sometime. In addition, in the NFL teams need 3 good CB's.

Porter and Greer are fast and young CBs. Jenkins and Gay are also young guys.

We didn't need a 5th guy over putting someone on the team like Washington who would have a legit chance of starting next year at OLB.

If we don't end up signing Sharper it doesn't make the pick as bad, but still a luxury pick when other solid picks could have been made without reaching.

We didn't need to pick a CB in the first round to play in possibly nickle and dime packages when we could get away with it using Gay, Young, and Jenkins. We could have signed a veteran to play that utility spit instead of paying a shite ton for a first round backup CB.

Why is it assumed Greer would be overtaken? He is really not old and is very good. We now 2 safeties, 2 CBs, and a CB/FS taken in the first 4 rounds the last couple of years. On top of giving a good contract to Greer. All the guys good to solid on the team so why is it we made a rebuild pick instead of a get back to the super bowl pick.
