I wonder how the click numbers for the Lynch articles compare to other interview articles.

How has the NBA survived Gregg Popovich...you know, the guy who has made a mockery of media coverage in the NBA for a decade+ now.

When Pop does it, it's "awww look at Pop, he's quite the character. Love him!"

When Lynch does it, nothing but venom.

I have no real issue with what Marshawn is doing, he is abiding by the availability portion of the CB agreement. I think it is childish but his deal. As for calling the NFL/NFLPA stupid for mandating their commodities be available for league/self/game promotion is idiotic. Just look how much the NFL/NFLPA has been able to leverage over the last 30/20/10 years. The main players in pro football didn't luck into those types of increases it was attention to detail and manipulation.

Because Pop doesn't say "f the media" out one side of his mouth and then do Skittles commercials out the other.

How often do athletes give serious answers? Most of the time it's the same cookie cutter answers over and over.

"you know man. We are just taking it one game at a time you know ? We are just focused on the Seahawks and that's all that matters. These guys are giving it 110 percent. You gotta do what you gotta do. I mean..thats why we play the game. you know ? My hats off to my lord and savior Jesus Christ man. He makes it possible. We work everyday. just trying to get better. Keeping it real..you know ? May the best team win. God bless.

That doesn't address his point at all.

It doesn't bother me at all. All coaches just sit up there and lie. Most players give generic pre scripted answers. If they are even at least a little forthcoming, the media twists it to fit an agenda. Could get the player in hot water with the coach, owner, fans, teammates... If we didn't have a media that thrives on chaos, these issues wouldn't exist for the most part. But the dishonesty amongst these reporters looking to get clicks is out of control. I refuse to listen to any interviews during the season and not many during the offseason. Whats the point when these guys are too scared to say anything to actually say anything?
