Geez what? SJWs are queers and if you don't think it is going to help hype this fight you are crazy.

I always thought Mayweather was an a-hole, but I never realized he ever did that shite. Must have been living under a rock. He's gonna win but I'm definitely rooting against him.

I hate how he refers to himself in the third person.

I fully agree with OP. Guys is a bum, but so is Jordan (not close to the same degree). People, especially young people, usually value money and success >>>>>>>>>>> morals and goodness. This fight is good vs evil. I am pulling for Pac, but I'm not putting money him. FM wouldn't fight him in his prime, now that he's dropped a few he's in.

Mayweather may be the greatest defensive boxer we've seen, but he is a documented piece of garbage of a person. Most people, however, find it very easy (and comforting) to separate celebrity's personal lives from their professional.

I don't get into all of this rooting against people because of who they are outside the sport. I generally root for what they do in their sport. I watch sports to be entertained, not look for my next role model. I just assume the whole lot of them are narcissistic arseholes. If you think someone's a good guy simply because he hasn't been caught doing anything, you're naïve.

If you're going to take a stand against someone because someone's a piece of crap in his personal life, that's fine. But do it across the board, and be consistent. Most people aren't.

Makes another storyline as well because by all accounts Manny is a fantastic person.

Statements like this, good versus evil. Pacquiao is not a "good guy." There's the inconsistency. The womanizing, cockfighting Pacquiao is the good guy?

If people want to see Mayweather get his head knocked off, that's fine. But please quit saying it's because Pacquiao's a good guy.

Even if you disregard his general demeanor as just being a cocky fighter, how can anyone root for a guy that legitimately beats the frick out of women on a regular basis?
Some people separate what he does in the ring from what he does outside of it. In the ring, it's easy to root for and admire greatness.

I think Mayweather is a POS, but I want him to beat Paq just to see the meltdown.

Beating up on women is one of the few things I can't separate from an athlete.

Drug dealer? Thief? Tax evasion? I can admittedly forget about those when watching incredible athletes.

But that's just me.

And people equating cock fighting and cheating on your wife to beating the frick out of several women look silly. Cock fighting in the Philippines is probably an accepted sport

Mayweather is a piece of trash who should be in jail. I hope he loses, but doubt it happens.

I didn't know he had so many personal and legal issues.

It just goes to show that, unfortunately, winning cures everything.

So apparently you think all people are either bad, or not caught yet. Copy. Sounds like you need some new associates. It most cases, people who completely disregard the morals of others, tend to have little themselves. And reversely, too often people with morals tend to be too judgemental of others.

I'm not equating anything. I'm just showing you the types of acrobatics guys like you will go through as to why you support one guy and dislike another. When you support one guy and not another based on off the field crap, it's interesting to see the things you will justify to make you feel better about who you back.

Cockfighting, you can minimize it if you want, but it's cruelty to animals. If Mayweather was involved with that we wouldn't hear the end of it, and it has nothing to do with its legality. It's because it's a crappy thing to do. It being legal elsewhere doesn't make it less crappy.

Pacquiao is a complete phony IMO. But I really don't get into that when I'm decide who to back because quite honestly there wouldn't be enough people to root for if I eliminated all of the people who I thought were not good people. At the end of the day I just want to be entertained, not find a role model or someone to give me hope in mankind.

My point is routinely beating the frick out of women is one of the few things I can't look past. For anyone in any profession or life setting.

I just can't. Maybe you can and that's fine. To each his own.

I think we don't know enough about the "good guys" to actually call them good. So I just stay out of all of that. None of us has all of the information. Additionally, I don't want to know about these guys and their personal lives. I assume they're all flawed, like everyone else.

In Pacquiao's case, we actually have enough information to conclude that he isn't good, yet people still call him good. That's what irks me.

I don't support idiots or someone that's a massive piece of shite. Money and cars makes people forget he's scum, because that's cool. He'll be bankrupt in the future because of how fricking stupid he is.

I don't know many people who like him as a human being. Personally, I think a lot of athletes are shite heads but a lot of people are paid off yearly that things don't release.

Take JJ Watt for example. He's supposedly squeaky clean, but it's amazing how he gets pissed off at completely innocuous shite. I can't see him constantly maintaining his composure in life when he can't do it on the field.
