How bummed should Omaha be?

Florida/FSU - neither of these schools will bring that many fans
Texas Tech - they'll bring a small amount
TCU - they'll bring a small amount
Coastal Carolina -
Arizona - they probably won't bring too many
Miami -
Oklahoma State - Okie Lite will probably bring the biggest contingent
UC-Santa Barbra -
You're going to see a lot of empty seats this year.

doubtful. Locals will buy them up but the atmosphere will be rather lame IMO

Not really. The problem will be hotels/flights/restaurants. The majority of fans in attendance will be locals.

That's what I meant. Not just the tournament in itself, but the local restaurants, bars, hotels, and other attractions that really get an economic boost when certain teams make it to Omaha.

the NCAA didn't everything they could to get LSU there.

In this thread, Big State U fans crying because they weren't good enough to make it to Omaha. You guys had your chance and blew it. Suck it up and accept it.

Just because you travel well doesn't mean your fan base isn't lame. I grew up on Latin American baseball. The atmosphere is completely different

Not really. We weren't good enough to make a regional much less the CWS. However, you cannot deny the fact that certain "Big State U" brings a shite ton of fans.

It's that whole "Latin Flair" thing that baseball purist hate. Players celebrate, hitters bat flip on hard hit balls and pitchers dance off the mound after strikeouts.
