Steve nash put up better percentages across the board except ppg at that same age im sure

Gotta love the research that went into "im sure." You're clearly an idiot troll, but just for fun, here's Nash's numbers at 34:

PPG - 15.7 - worse than Kobe
RPG - 3.0 - worse
APG - 9.7 - better
BPG - 0.1 - worse
SPG - 0.7 - worse
PER - 19.5 - worse
FG% - 50.3% - better
3pt% - 43.9% - better
FT% - 93.3% - better
TS% - 61.5% - better

Obviously Nash is going to kill damn near player in league history when it comes to shooting; he's in the Steph, Reggie Miller, Kerr, Bird range.

ETA just checked, go look at nash's 2008 season and lol at you thinking those kobe numbers are impressive for a 34 year old

Not just 34, but that age with the total minutes he played. Kobe's legs at 34 were in much worse shape than the average 34 year old in the league. He played like 15,000 more minutes than Steve Nash over his career

I'm not sure about Dirk, but MJ/Malone/Admirable had all played, what, 3-4 fewer seasons at age 34 than Kobe did? Here's MJ's numbers at 34 for comparison:

Kobe:

PPG - 27.3
RPG - 5.6
APG - 6.0
BPG - 0.3
SPG - 1.4
PER - 23
FG% - 46.3%
3pt% - 32.4%
FT% - 83.9%
TS% - 57%

MJ:

PPG - 28.7
RPG - 5.8
APG - 3.5
BPG - 0.5
SPG - 1.7
PER - 25.2
FG% - 46.5%

3pt% - 23.8%
FT% - 78.4%
TS% - 53.3%

These numbers are damn near identical, and I'm a guy that fully admits that MJ was a better player. When you look at total regular season minutes for both guys through their 34th year on Earth, Kobe's line becomes more impressive. Here's the totals (no playoffs bc I don't want to do the math)

MJ - 33,187 regular season minutes
KB - 45,390 regular season minutes

Kobe is the ultimate MSB example of a guy whose career was SLIGHTLY overrated so long that it became criminally underrated when it was all said and done.

If Kobe had MJ's hand size, he'd be the GOAT. Phil Jackson always said that was the biggest difference between the two players. I'm gonna go ahead and label Kobe as the small hands GOAT. Someone print the shirts

I can honestly say I've never heard that argument in my life. Who are the other small hand GOATs in the other big 3 sports?

Youtube something generic like "Phil Jackson talks Jordan Kobe," and I'm sure you'll hear it in damn near every video. He'll say hands, MJ was stronger, and I've heard him say MJ was a better leader early on because of the age difference and playing under Dean Smith.

MJ's hands were enormous. He could pick the ball up with one hand off the dribble and do something with it. That may not sound impressive, but when you look for it, it's really noticeable. Look at this shite:

Oh i can definitely tell that MJ had massive hands. Just never really thought about it in comparison to Kobe.

this is one of Lebron's greatest (and maybe most underrated) skills, imo.
