he's proven he can be very, very good ... and he should win tomorrow, giving him 3 majors ... i don't think he's gonna challenge tiger/jack for their totals ... i think he could ... could ... have a really great career and win several majors ... maybe get to 10 ... but imo he misses too many cuts (he's missed more than 10 ... counting european events, it's more like 20, which is high for someone who is the next big thing) ... he missed the cut last year at the open ... he's missed a couple of cuts at the masters ... he's really good when he's on, and he's proven he's got the talent to be very, very good ... but i don't see him going on a run like tiger ...

don't know where he'd be ranked ... he has the game, at this age, to be a top 5 player and possibly win 10 majors ... till the early 80s, bobby jones was credited with 13 majors, so i don't know where rory or anyone else would rank with 10 ...

He is just soooo good when he is on. It's tiger-like the way he can dominate. Only difference is that tiger could win with his B game. If rory can start doing this, he can get more than 10.

Rory has to learn how to shoot par with his B game first. Forget trying to win with his B game.

Rory might win a regular Tour event with his B game, but I don't see him winning a major with his B game. The fields are just too deep.

Rory has already won the PGA and US Open & barring a major choke tommorow, he will add the British Open to his resume which would put him a 3 majors by the age of 25.

The real question is how long can he maintain the long distances he can hit the ball. He looks to be around 5'10" & around 170lbs, just an average size man. A 25 year old man can crank out 300 yard plus but it gets harder for a 35 year old man to do that.

That being said, if he can learn consistancy, I see him winning at least 10 majors, 15 majors is a stretch but I think with his talent level, Rory can reach 15 major wins.

Good point. I think his putting may be too streaky to win at the rate like tiger won.

Rory won both his majors with his A game and won them by 8 strokes each. And he is well on his way to doing it again. That tells me if he can find his B game he could win majors with that too.

Cause he hasn't won this one yet? Just a thought.

It's not like he hasn't won before. Whether he wins this one or not doesn't mean we can't talk about it.

No problem there. I think he can 10 or so. Just don't like counting something that's so close yet so far away.
