Played lost key Saturday. Course is in amazing shape. Go play it now.
People harp on it because it's tough. I loved it. Shot 47/34

Played steelwood 3 times a couple months ago for a work event. Bad arse course.

It was a better course before one of the hurricanes damaged it. It has never been the same since.
ETA: played it in 2011 and the greens sucked compared to the other courses we played that week.

They told us the back nine just reopened due to flooding.
The fairways and greens were in awesome shape. Very lush, no blemishes.
Haven't played another course like it. Very little room for error.
Definitely not for a hacker to play and enjoy.
Bring a bunch of balls. :
Eta: it was my first time playing it. So my opinion is only based on 2 days ago.
Fwiw: glen lakes is a good cheap option. Peninsula is great. Rock, cotton, and Kiva are always good.

They said there used to be a lot of snakes and gators. Apparently many were washed out or something.
We didn't see any.

Maybe. The par 3 on the front with the waste area on the left had a bunch when I went through there

Lost key did have some flooding issues from
The rain a few weeks ago. Ask for Amanda at Kraft farms, she lurks here from time to time.

Is she the big LSU fan? I want to say one of the beer cart girls or bartender was a big LSU fan.
