I had to turn off "last week tonight" early for the first time yesterday after he went for the longest soap box speech about transgenders. This is the new frontier for activists

Me too. I have loved John Oliver but in the last few weeks he's gotten extremely one-sided by trying to push his personal agenda, and it hasn't felt like the same show.

Last year joe rogan caught she for saying her dna is a mans dna and is dangerous to the women.

Thankfully he refused to apoligize for being correct. You can youtube it tho.he nailed all of it

Also in the 70s there was a tennis player who was avg as frick as a man then went to br a woman and was awesome

I don't mind him doing that usually. Even when he's harping on something I don't agree with, it's usually a succinct segment that atleast mentions in passing both sides of the argument.... And most importantly is funny while doing all that

Last week dragged on forever and instead of points, he lowered himself to ad hominem and crowd pleasing. I think even his in studio crowd got bored for a little bit there.

Isn't there a transgender or something that used to be a man but is now a woman that fights on the female MMA circuit? I think I saw something like that. This person is just dominating and beating the shite out of peopl

I laughed a little too hard at this post

I had several friends who swam at Harvard... this is pretty funny. Honestly though, how many of you think you'd be an elite female athlete? I have a feeling most of y'all still wouldn't excel athletically vs women.

In track, my best high school times and distances would win the NCAA championship in at least 3 events. In 1 event I would be an Olympic gold medalist. And I was a really good, but not awesome athlete.

See this is fine, and exactly what I was looking for. When I retired I had women's world records in a few events... but now I'd be fighting for silver/bronze 4 or so Olympics later.

I see no problem with females competing in male sports, but the reverse is totally not acceptable.

The problem is, everyone knows and accepts this, but a vocal 0.0001% of the population will make this an issue and one day try to bring an end to all gender-exclusive organized activities.

ETA: also, unless it is one of the best on the team, this is just an extremely foolish decision to compete on the male team; if it could even make the male team then it would blow away women competitors.
