Sports Illustrated

quote:

When Harvard freshman Schuyler Bailar joins the Crimson's men's swim team in the fall, it is believed he will be NCAA's first openly transgender swimmer, according to the Associated Press.

Bailar had originally been recruited to join Harvard's women's team but came out as transgender earlier this year and was offered a spot on the men's team.

“Initially the decision was, ‘Do I swim, or do I quit and transition?’” Bailar told The Harvard Crimson, the school's student newspaper. “I really didn’t want to give up swimming, but I also didn’t know how much longer I could do the living as a girl thing.”

While this is deemed, wonderful and tolerant, what happens when this issue is reversed and males who claim to be females start dominating female sports?

And perhaps even more important, at what point does Juwanna Mann move from lighthearted underrated comedy to poignant social commentary?

Its coming. Some dude who can't hack it at even the men's college level will come in and absolutely crush the WNBA, Juwana Man style. And what can they do about it? Nothing.

It would finally make women's basketball interesting.

I'm gonna pull a Jawanna Mann and join the WNBA.

I can make money pretending to feel like a woman.

It is going to be pretty funny when at first the feminists are all supportive of the transgender "woman" in the WNBA.

And then when half the league is "women" with dicks, they are going to start getting really pissed.

Insert Britney Griner joke here

As much as I support the LBGT community and all their equality rights, there sure does seems to a lot of this small minority making the headlines.

Maybe it's because of the social media age, but don't they make up like .001% of the population ?

Sit back and watch. Before too long, the feminists are going to squash this.

They will have a hard time doing that, considering they are a part of all of this.

Some are, most aren't. Trust me, when a man starts competing as a woman, they'll care.

Isn't there a transgender or something that used to be a man but is now a woman that fights on the female MMA circuit? I think I saw something like that. This person is just dominating and beating the shite out of people, which shoudln't be a surprise since it's a grown man fighting women.

I had to turn off "last week tonight" early for the first time yesterday after he went for the longest soap box speech about transgenders. This is the new frontier for activists

There is, and a lot of people are having massive issues with it. Rhonda Rousey, Meisha Tate, among others have already come out against this.

Renee Richards did this in tennis, but I don't think he ever won as a he or a she.

This assumes that people with causes have a degree of intellectual or actual honesty. They don't.
