Warriors up 57-52 and clock is winding down in second quarter. Iguodala hits 3 at the buzzer and going into the second half the run was actually 16-0 to make it 73-52. As awful as the game felt in the third quarter, the first half was pretty tight.

Warriors played flawlessly defensively. It appeared to me the warriors just wanted it more. Finals are always overreaction theater. I bet Game 2 is a tight one.

Hard to believe?

GS is overwhelming, that's exactly what they do.

Warrriors missed 18 shots in the paint in the first half. They came out a little too hyped up and missed gimme after gimme after gimme.

Maybe I should elaborate more but Cleveland should not get beat on the boards like they did. That's pure want and effort from Golden State. I also think Cleveland has to be a lot more physical with Curry and KD.

The score was never 57-52. The Iggy 3 was at the end of the first quarter. Not much scoring in the last few minutes of the first half.

There was a thread about worst sports phrases and I nominated this one.

You could miss more shots because you "want it more" and have too much adrenaline or rush too much. Then you lose and the other team "wanted it more?"

So stupid.

Apparently in the first half they didn't want it more, but I'm the second half they decided they "wanted it more."

Let's assume GS wins the championship just for talking point fodder. Is GS the greatest team ever? Which historically great NBA teams could handle the likes of Durant, Curry, Thompson. Draymond, and the rest of the GS team?

I just can't get over the fact that GSW only had 2 players in double figures

No, they are not a team. They are a Frankenstein monstrosity. They are tonya Harding kneecapping Nancy Kerrigan

This is unprecedented that in plain view a top 5 player joins a 73 win team. They've been together 1 year. It's the equivalent of AAU teams playing against random public high schools. They get no glory for this tilt the scales bullshite. I hate these pampered mindsets and everything they stand for. They don't love the game like we do...and we don't gef paid.

They prostitute bball out like a cheap whore & its mad disrespectful he needs to get punched in the eyeball

This is such a ridiculous argument that the ridiculousness speaks for itself and nothing more needs to be said.
That said, That "AAU" entity just made a complete fool out of the Cavs. When the Warriors are on a fast break, and every Cavs player defends against the pass and nobody goes after the ball, Durant will continue to make wide open dunks. That's 4th grade defensive strategy.

it's on par with "found a way to win". Both of which translate to "I can't articulate why one team won."

Well no shite Sherlock. Imagine if Jordan joined up with prime Steve Nash, Reggie Miller, Anthony Mason & Shawn Marion off the bench. You don't get props for that when you were up 3-1 in the WCF the year before and choked

Of course everyone has an open look. Jordan had to deal with doubles, but you can't double anyone with the lineup of death out there it's just shootaround

What are you even talking about? Nobody on the Cavs squad guarded the player running the fastbreak all game which is why GS had 26 fastbreak points with only one turnover.
LINK
frick a double team. Just put one player on the guy running the fastbreak.

"If they could've hit a few more shots/if they could've gotten a few more stops" .. So you're saying if they could've scored more or prevented the other team from scoring more than they did they would've ended up with more points? Wow....

I didn't think it was close in the first half. The Warriors missed a ton of easy shots they usually make.

They easily could have been up 15.

They were getting much better looks than the Cavs. The Cavs were lucky the score was as close as it was in the first half.
