im surprised you dont think its thierry henry just going by your name and the fact that your an arsenal fan

No, Henry is not the best in the world now. I'm not oblivious. At his prime he was. And sarcasm is ripe in that first post.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the best, even if he is one of the most annoying teammates in the world.
As for American players, clearly it's Ching, the goalscoring machine. As for my serious picks, I would go with Donovan, Michael Bradley, and Onyewu.

Dempsey bro
Altidore the future.
Altidore the future.

Yeah, once Altidore gets a steady starting gig in Europe and regular first team play in WC Qualifiers, he will be the best. I think he can become the first truly world-class American player who isn't a goalie.

If Dempsey played as a foward and not a mid I think we'd here his name a little more at a really good Fulham.

I considered Claudio Reyna to be world class

I don't consider a player to be world class if he is starting slightly more than half the games on mid-table English teams in the prime of his career.
He was one of the first American position players to get significant playing time, and it was certainly a big deal when he captained Rangers, but I don't see how he is a world-class player based on anything other than a couple of seasons in Scotland and his performance in the 2002 World Cup. That's just not enough for me.
