Anyone with half a brain knows that Kobe isn't the greatest player in NBA history - the better debate is whether he's the greatest Laker ever (apparently Jerry West thinks he is).

Who's the best? Kobe? Magic? Kareem? West (overlooked and underrated in the argument)?

Kobe.

Athletes that played years ago are always considered better. Why?

You forgot about Wilt Chamberlain. My personal favorite is Magic Johnson but I consider Wilt the greatest Laker of alls-time.

Wilt was only there at the end of his career. He wasn't the same dominant player.

Shaq could be in there too, but he wasn't in LA as long as the others.

Magic. He's the greatest player in NBA history so far. Lebron seemingly has enough talent to far exceed him, but he under performs in post season. I don't think that he will catch him and we've seen LeBron's best I think.

Nah. I love Jordan, but Magic was the man. Magic would have won championships with the Bulls, but Jordan wouldn't have won with the Lakers.

Jordan wouldn't have won with Kareem, Worthy, Cooper and Scott?

Nope. Perhaps in that we've seen LeBron's best, but that's it. Just an opinion. We'll have to wait and see.

Dude could stroke the 3 ball.

One year, one ring what more did the kid have to prove.
