Good ones! How about:

"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious." - Vince Lombardi

So would you say that this LSU defense has strong character? MSU and ULL would.

Add'l McKay's quotes from his days in Tampa

When asked about the execution of his offense he responded "I'm in favor of it"

"We couldn't catch the ball and we didn't block anybody, but we made up for it by not tackling anyone."

George Rogers, when asked how he'd do in the upcoming season..."I'm going to get 1,500 yards or 2,000 yards - whichever comes first."

I loved when Don Meredith was asked to describe Walt Garrison...he said

" if it was third down and you needed four yards...by God give the ball to Walt and he'll get ya four yards. If it was third and twenty, give the ball to Walt and he'll get ya four yards."

Most definitelty. One of my favorites came during his second year at Tampa Bay.

"We've proven that we can't win at home, we've proven that we can't win on the road. Therefore, we're going to play our next game at a neutral site."

My freshman year chemistry professor (Auburn fall 1994) referenced #34. His comment was: "Three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of them are bad. If you don't believe that, ask LSU."

i forgot about the time Saban was referring to Matt Jones, the game when Arkansas scored with 2 big passes in the last 40 seconds:
"and their QB couldn't hit a bull in the arse with a handful of sand"
