Politics has taken over the NFL and is causing me not to care much any more what they do.
Politics and sports have gone hand in hand since Jackie Robinson first laced them up for the Dodgers and Ali refused to go to Vietnam. This is not a new or a bad thing. Regardless of your opinions on them, they are dynamic and relevant issues to our place and time in America and the sports world doesn't get some immunity from then just because some of you have too delicate sensibilities to be able to handle an opinion that you don't like. Grow thicker skin. I live in a city where 90% of the people in my demographic I disagree with politically, but you don't see me crying about it.

But strong safety says we need to be sympathetic tho.

For one thing, we should be free of political statements when watching an NFL game. For another, it was an insult to law enforcement in the St. Louis area.

IF it was any of the Saints' players who did this, & this whole mess had happened in the N.O. area, you can bet NOPD would make sure that the make & model of the players' cars was widedly known by the officers out on the streets. Speeding, resisting arrest, possession with the intent to distribute, etc etc etc.

I got no problem with it.
It was player introductions.
It was player introductions.

He should make them all do a"pants up, don't loot" PSA.

I hope he doesn't because it will be another news story for the media to latch onto to keep the pot stirred. No doubt that's exactly what those players were hoping for too. Ignore it and move on.

They weren't putting their hands up over the Ferguson incident, they really just didn't want Oakland players and their fans to shoot them.

Aren't you the martyr. You put up with people who disagree with you. Congrats.
My skin is plenty thick. I do however reserve the right to spend my money however I see fit. And supporting the NFL has become less and less appealing to me.
Kindly go screw yourself and try not to hurt yourself when you climb off that high horse.
I actually do not mind the individuals making these statements. I resent the NFL telling me how to think and act when there are numerous instances of cowardly, callous and hypocritical behavior on their part.
The shield has plenty of blemishes, they just refuse to acknowledge them. And emperor Goodell wears no clothes.

Rams players did the right thing. Mike Brown was murdered in cold blood by a racist officer who despised blacks.
