Kobe was my favorite player as a youngin. The things that he has accomplished puts him in the Greatest category with Mike and Magic and Russell. It sucks getting old, now all my favorites are leaving the games behind. Farewell to perhaps my favorite athlete of any sport ever, besides the other GOAT Tom Brady....

meh not GOAT, but def top 10. Loved the Kobe-Shaq years....sad they didn't stick it out. They would have won soooo many championships together. So dominate.

I share the same sentiments. Though you are gonna get a ton of heat in here for saying those words. I've never seen so much hate for Kobe than in here.

Anyone think Kobe can go for 5,000 tonight and overtake Kareem?

Someone on TNT last night said he was the 3rd best guard of all-time. At first I was like nah. But then I was like maybe. Had a hard time replacing him at #3.

Tom Brady may in fact be the GOAT, Kobe Bryant is certainly not

Just think if he hadn't run off every great player that came into the organization. He would have more rings than anyone imo. In his prime years every top player wanted to be a Laker but Kobe didnt want to share the limelight. That's why he'll never be considered the GOAT.
