There have been seven topics on this board in the past five days directly related to Notre Dame football. I don't mean light references (there have been numerous others of those types, such as in the betting thread, the season ticket thread, greatest program of all-time thread, etc.), I mean the subject of the thread has been about Notre Dame. Seven in less than a week on a message board filled primarily with people from the south...

notre dame will always be relevant in terms of popularity.

they havent been relevant in actual football games in quite awhile.
