They're more like check-ups unless I'm really in a bad way

Although your style wouldn't work for me, as I prefer someone who teaches on feel rather than super technical stuff....I do commend your passion for the game. Good luck.

how do you teach "on feel"? there has to be some level of education in lessons.

You're right. Feel probably wasn't the best description. I just prefer not to think about highly technical stuff.

Give me a drill to work on and I'll knock it out. Start talking about D plane and torque and gravity and whatever...and you lost me.

Show and teach. Not really saying a bunch on the technical side. Instead of telling the player due to this, this will happen. Just show him with the swing and the ball flight.

I like to know why my mistakes are happening…its doesn't have to go into highly technical jargon but I need to know if i'm over plane, open face, hitting from outside, etc… if you pay attention and learn why certain mistakes are caused you can over time somewhat fix yourself (not all the time)

Focus on the face. Make sure when the club is parallel to the ground on the toe isn't pointing straight up, just a little closed. Strengthen your left hand a touch and feel you left wrist slightly bow on your first move down.

My teaching pro and you with beers would be a conversation I would know about 10 words in. He studies track man pretty hard and also helped wedge fit for the pga pros during the Valero.

Haney flattened the shaft big time like he does with every player. That's why tiger hit it left so much with ol hankey

Yea after putting him side by side from 01, his hands were much higher in 2001. I dont really pay attention to his swing as u can tell. lol

I know Haney is a flat teacher but his position looks pretty good in that pic. Didnt know Tiger was so high.

the biggest change was getting his weight shifted to the left side in the backswing, check out his right knee action in the two middle shots

Missing piece of Hogan. VJ's swing he teaches. Almost all of your weight is on your front side at top of your swing.

These two pictures are a great thing to study to fix any swing...especially those with the shanks lol

notice arnie's shoulder length...his shoulders are square and in the top of his backswing the left shoulder is behind the ball with his left arm locked. This is key for people with the shanks. Starting this out for the first time will tend to make you want to dip because your front leg needs to bend during the backswing...simply keep your back up straight and shorten your backswing so that it doesnt go all the way behind your head....here is the most important part...when youve put all of that together its all about concentraton and keeping your head down...NO BOBBING AND WEAVING!!! imagine as if you had a caddy and he/she were using a club shaft sitting on the crown of your head...DO NOT MOVE YOUR HEAD BEFORE IMPACT!!! this will keep your hips in line and force you to bring the club face back around straight and prevent a shank...
