What is the best section to sit in that will not break the bank. Going to see them play the Astros on July 3 or July 4th..

You prolly not going up there very often. Splurge get nice tickets. I went couple years ago, got some tix on stub hub, I think I paid about $90 per tix and we were about 30 rows up from home plate, spent way more than that on beer lol.

Also watch out for "obstructed view" seats, they have a lot of those seats under the grandstand.

I hate to break it to you, it's going to be expensive. The Red Sox priced out the average fan a long time ago.

Make sure you do the tour, it's pretty cool. They do them daily and you see EVERYTHING.

Went a few years ago and got good seats in RF maybe 5-7 rows up. Still able to see the whole park unlike others where sometimes if you sit in the OF you are obstructed by an overhang/wall/upper deck

I believe they were like $40

Crazy how much they've gone up though. I sat right behind the first base dugout in the 1990s and tix were maybe $30-40

If he is worried about $$$, Monster seats are out of the question, crazy expensive. But yes a hell of a view

I've been 5 times before and have sat in a different area every time and really had no complaints about any view. Would love to do monster seats but they weren't available any time. Like others have said just pick a price you feel comfortable with because the experience is awesome anywhere you sit in the park.

Standing Room Only behind home plate is the best

I lived in Boston in the '70s and those were my favorite seats, a ways up behind the bullpens. In '76 they raised the price to $1.50.

There is a cool breezeway in right field by pesky's pole. We stood up there next to where Theo and his boys were watching. We paid maybe $40 for outfield tix. There isn't a bad seat there unless you are behind a pole.

I sat in right field beyond Pesky Poll, nothing wrong with those tickets at all.
I also did SRO along 1st base line, not bad but you do have to stand up and it's tiring the whole game.
Get their early and you can easily walk around pretty much the whole field around the stands and that will give you a neat perspective on the stadium that is hard to get at most parks where access is more restricted.

If you have time do BP atop Green Monster before game, well worth it and not that expensive

Yes, splurge. I went several years ago to watch the Braves. Saturday night I bought "cheap" tickets off Stub Hub. Sunday I bought mega bucks tickets about 10 rows above the Braves dugout. I don't remember how much they cost but it was several hundred for both games.
