Althought a Pog I was a light infantry pog. I would venture to say spent more time in field and did more marches than most in their time. and the non stop snow made it that much more miserable.

How can you be light infantry and still be a pog? You mean you were attached to a light inf unit?

Yeah. We were a light infantry unit that I was attached to. HHC 2-14 (Golden Dragons).

Primary MOS was suckered into by Bonus and lies: 92G (cook) was the worst job ive ever had to this date. Do all the training with the Inf. and the Thursday marches (16 miles on thursdays) and still have to go in and cook that evening. Never had a four day weekend (someone has to cook) until back from Iraq and I was switched to
92Y (supply)...much easier as far as hours and time off. Was off when the infantry was off. While in Iraq I was selected the option to get off patrols after a few months to go do a crash training and get certified as a 31E (detention).Hours were worse than patrol but the stress as far as worry was way down from patrol. Mental stress was biggest part because you had to treat the people that were trying to blow your friends up properly. If prisoners got bruises the paper work was crazy.
While working as a 31E while deployed the CO that was over us took a liking to me and when we got back got me certified to work as a 92Y. Easy switch since we were same company. I just moved over to different squad in HHC to do so.
So overall
Primary- 92G -cook
Secondary: 92Y and 31E

88 mikes and 92G in a academia bowl would be the best show on comedy central

at least in the AF that job is on a rotation, that career does cooking, runs the gym, the military lodging and the morgue

Ha I liked cooking so I didn't think it would be that bad. The job itself wasn't horrendous...it was the hours and rarely 2 days off back to back. Would be seperated day off here and day off there.
One perk about supply and cooking was you always had shite you could trade when you needed something and people tended to be nice to you
