I'm certainly not calling it a fluke.
However, they were still a wildcard team this year.
This is the worst of their 3 teams. Their rotation isn't as good as it was in the past. And the bullpen is a lot of the same guys so there's not too much difference there.

What's BS is how the Royals get HFA for the AL winning the All-Star Game. So dumb.

It's their worst of the three teams but no way they are worse than someone like the 06 Cards. They won 83 games in the regular season, had Pujols, Carpenter, Rolen and not much else. The rotation on that team was really rough

Royals actually had a better record than SF so they deserve it.
But yes in general the game winner in AS game to determine home field advantage is dumb.
