full page ad in the dame's newspaper blasting AD ...

On Wednesday, they'd had enough. A group of hundreds of fans and alumni raised money to take out a full page ad in The Observer, the school's student newspaper, against Swarbrick. The ad points out where the Irish have failed on and off the field and calls out the program for not upholding standards.
sounds like they're tired of bad football up there ...

Nah, we're pretty bimodal -- one group full of righteous anger and frustration, one group full of detached amusement, both groups self-contained and inward looking. Piss on ND for pissing on the traditional rivalry, but envy? nope.
