But ESPN still gets your money, whether you watch or not.

He rarely does when it comes to regurgitating political drivel tbh

He's hardly the worst offender, though, I guess.

Why do liberals spend so much of their time trying to convince others that their ideals are accepted and mainstream?

Lost subscribers =/= lost viewership. I think you are focusing on the wrong metrics. It seems like a lot of people aren't big fans of recent programming choices by the network.

Exactly but the people who complain about their liberal agenda driving viewer away don't get that lost viewership doesn't mean anything to them.

Ad space prices are based on ratings, sir.

1. they hire writers as on air talent...anyone with a brain knows that's a disaster waiting to happen.

Wait, what?

ESPN quite literally revolutionized day time sports network programming for the last 15 years by hiring writers as on air talent(PTI)

I mean I don't think it's that difficult to realize that neither the one sided commentary or the larger issue of chord cutting are great for the network.

Right, it's just that one has hit ESPN much harder from everything I've seen, but we focus on the other one...the one-sided commentary.

And what you pay for cable is where they make the vast majority of their money

Well showing highlights over and over again is pretty damn boring

And a day's worth of debate shows discussing Tebow's minor league numbers is so much more exciting.

True, but most of their TV advertising revenue comes from live sports as that is what people watch in large numbers.

And all that is miniscule compared to subscriber money

Jesus you scared me.

I figured you linked a post of mine proclaiming, "THE ONLY REASON ESPN HAS PROBLEMS IS BECAUSE LIBERAL shite HEADS."

Yeah, I still pay for their bullshite through a cable package, but I can't stand to watch it anymore. It is only used for live sports in my household. The socio-political bullshite is one big reason why, but certainly not the only one. I would feel the same way if they were constantly pushing the right's agenda, too. If I want to watch that shite, I'll watch a real news channel.
