The Pats will pick him up.

How are the Pats feeling about Jonas Gray???

Good, assuming his alarm clock is working. He's trimmed down about 15 pounds, and while not a burner, has looked capable of breaking 20+ yard runs against average defenses.

He seems to be the starting guy while Blount is out and if he performs well then I could see him stickin in that role. He looks a lot quicker than he did last year

Blount has looked really good during camp/preseason though. So it might be a split all year or the usual "who knows who gets carries" type situation with the Pats

Fred Jackson could change a lot if they sign him. That Vereen role is still up for grabs and he'd be perfect. I think that position gets a lot of playing time this year too, if they can find someone to fill it. Lewis has been impressive but he's very injury prone and hasn't run away with it. James White has been very inconsistent, great one day, average the next. Cadet has been hurt all camp so he's probably on the outs soon.

James Devlin just broke his leg so he'll be out for a while so that opens up a roster spot for another guy in the backfield

i see where the Bills named Tyrod Taylor the starting QB too.

Well deserved, he's looked great in camp and in the preseason.

realize the NFL is a business, but surprised they didn't release him during the spring before FA so he could sign with a team that would use him, rather than cutting him a week before the season.

They didn't have Karlos Williams then, who they really like.

It's probably a better option to be a FA now over during the spring when you're Fred Jackson

He has a ton of leverage now with a lot of teams needy for backs. I'm spring time everyone is optimistic about their 6th round draft picks and shite

Falcons need to sign this man to a 1 year deal. If anything just to help out the young guys.

hes 34, has been injured every year for the last few seasons (including this camp), and was slated to make 3m.

i think the bills carry 4

mccoy
karlos williams (special teams and short yardage)
boobie dixon (special teams)

brown inactive on game day, but carries the load if mccoys hurt

simply not true -- the last 3 years hes been hurt all three, and averaged 3.9 yards per carry. 2007-2011 he was fantastic (when healthy) but thats a long time ago in RB years.

That's surprising. This dude would have been great for depth if Shady goes down, but that's totally out of the question now. Wonder where he'll end up? I could definitely see Belichick using this guy in the screen game for the Pats. I wonder if the Falcons give this guy a look. Their RBs haven't really looked all that great so far besides Antone Smith.
