Rest easy, Big Man. This is truly a shocker. Saints and Buckeyes lost a great one.

Prayers to his wife and kids

The circumstances, as far as I know them, are pretty horrible.

Not sure what they are, but it's amazing how fast a situation can escalate, especially in a place like New Orleans.

What disturbs me is that Smith's wife and Pierre Thomas were there with Smith at the time of the shooting.

And his wife was shot in the leg.

I always think if you could just fast forward and see the results of a situation, your reactions would be so much different.

Well the son of a bitch who did this is gonna have a long arse time to reflect on it. About a whole lifetime's worth. He gonna be second guessing himself big time while he's getting arse raped in prison.

Not sure he deserves to live.

This is awful. He was really a nice guy from all accounts of people who have met him.

Wait this is all over a car accident? Holy shite what is wrong with some people. Just take a deep breath and relax don't go shooting someone over it.

It's reported a Hummer rear ended his Mercedes.. which pushed Smith's Mercedes into another car in front of him.

The Hummer driver got out and exchanged words.. then pulled a gun and shot him and his wife.

This is just so senseless. Take a life over this? Wondering if the guy was on some sort of drugs? I just hate this so much. He took a life over this, in front of his wife who he also shot.. took a father away from his kids.

Some are saying Pierre Thomas was riding in the back as well? Not sure of confirmation on that.

Again though, Will Smith was a nice guy by all accounts. He loved the boiled crabs at my parent's seafood store.

As a Falcons fan I can say I have NEVER heard a bad word about this guy. Condolences to those who were close or fans.
