Nope. Finally healthy. ETA: And growing up. He's only 23.

I think he's still 2 years away from peaking. We'll see how much he cares to build on this year's success.

For some reason it feels very satisfying to be on the right end of this one...so far.

watt being injured is just so unfortunate because this d-line would be an absolute game changer with them two.

The clowney haters haven't watch how good he has been this year

If a number one pick has one good season and then shits the bed the rest of his career is he not a bust?

Probably, but at this point. that is irrelevant to a player in his 3rd year, who has made some drastic improvements.

Yes.

Do you mind if I ask how that's relevant?

He was never a bust. This is his 3rd year in the league, and he was injured most of his first.

Just wondering why the op said "former bust" conceding that he was a bust but because of one good season isn't anymore. Not saying he couldnt string off a few good seasons here but he hasn't yet.

He's mocking those that called him a bust.

I have no idea if you're included in that group.

But the point is that he could still be a bust.

Let's just get this question out of the way.

Did you consider Clowney a bust prior to this season?

Hell, just as recently as a few weeks ago there was a thread started by someone calling him a bust.

Now that he's actually healthy for the first time since college I expect him to continue to build on this. I'll be the first to admit that when he couldn't get healthy I was worried that his career would be like a Greg Odens. Can't wait to see what the D-line does with a healthy Watt and Clowney.

But he isn't a bust right now. In fact he is showing all signs of being a productive player. This is the point. It is mocking people who jump to unfounded conclusions. Is that you? I don't know. But you are being a little dense about something that is pretty straight forward.

He was one of the most hyped high schoolers since Jimmy Clausen.

He made the most famous, OMG, shite your pants play on defense in recent college football memory.

He's an easy target. If he's not LT, Bruce Smith and Reggie White rolled into one, he's a bust.
