FOOTBALL PRE-SEASON TOP 10

I know it's way early in March, but Spring practice has kicked off and I'm getting ready for some NCAA Football.
Who do you have as your pre-season top 10?
Who do you have as your pre-season top 10?
quote:
1. Alabama - I want to put Clemson at number 1, but until Saban retires, I cannot justify putting Alabama anywhere else but #1.
2. Clemson - As mentioned above, my head would put Clemson at number 1, but for now, Alabama has earned that spot.
3. LSU - The defense should be improved. The running game will be a monster. I believe LSU returns the majority on both sides of the ball. Can Harris improve? The majority of their difficult games are at home (I believe). This is the year for Miles to capitalize on this great opportunity...
4. Baylor - frick them. Briles will have them scoring at will.
5. FSU - I believe they return their entire starting offense. If they start the season off (as I expect they will) with a win over Ole Miss, they really only have a couple of winnable games in their way to an undefeated season (UNC, @ Miami, Clemson, Florida).
6. Michigan - Michigan lost a fair amount on defense and they have to replace Jake Rudock. Harbaugh is great with quarterbacks and he turned Rudock into a pretty good player. I'm sure he'll do the same with the next guy up.
7. Tennessee - I think this is finally the year the Vols turn the corner and wins those meaningful games.
8. Stanford - Yes, they have McCaffrey coming back, but they still need to replace a serviceable Kevin Hogan and a few offensive linemen.
9. Oklahoma - frick them. It'll be tough losing Shepard and Striker, but the Sooners do have Mayfield and Perine back.
10. Ohio State - They lost pretty much everyone. Meyer recruits very well and is a great coach. I'd be shocked if he didn't have the Buckeyes in the mix.

LSU has got to be one of the best preseason teams of all time year in, year out.

As long as Miles is there LSU will always be good and never an easy out. They're simply too talented. But 3rd in the country?
LSU has gone 10-3, 8-5, 9-3 the last 3 years. And this is how many years in a row now that we're finally expecting QB play to improve?
I can buy LSU as a top 10 team and a serious contender for the west. But I dont' buy that there are only 2 teams better going into the season.

They're loaded and get Alabama at home. I can buy that.
That's a pretty solid list. A case could be made for UCLA or Oklahoma State (they return just about everyone from what was a pretty good team last year) but I can't really argue with this list.

but until Saban retires, I cannot justify putting Alabama anywhere else but #1.

quote:Yes, it will be interesting to see if Miles can do better without a double digit amount players leaving for the NFL
LSU has gone 10-3, 8-5, 9-3 the last 3 years.
although I like to refer to the 2015 year season as a 10-3 season although not technically

We're like 2-1 the past 6 years in Gainesville

The games have been close and that was while they had virtually no quarterback and no offense.

LSU's losing 2-4 games next year. The defense is stacked. But the age old question about the offense is still there and LF7 can only do so much.

I just want to stop seeing this night-and-day o-line. They dominate the first half of the season and then start screaming safe words on the back end.
I mostly blame coaching for that, but frick I don't even see the line fighting once we get to November.

@UF and @Auburn will always be difficult games.

Okla State
Both are going to lose to #7, but Houston has a very easy schedule toughest true road game will be @ Navy. The game at Cincy could be interesting, but they should win it easy.
If Houston loses early the polls will bury them, it is just what happens.
