I apologize for what is probably a stupid question but I have no TV this year and I would like to watch football on my Apple phone. Can I get the ESPN stations on my phone and if so how? Thanks for your help.

What football?
College?
You will need a password for espn3 which will only play non-network games
You will need a watch ESPN password to watch games that are on the ESPN networks
These only come with Internet and tv packages from certain providers

For NFL, get NFL Sunday Ticket. Not sure how much it's going to cost this year.

I downloaded the watchESPN app, chose AT&T u-verse as my provider (which I have), logged on successfully (the log on info is correct) and when I go to watch something I get the message "You are not authorized to play this content. Please contact your provider."
I have tried this before and I wonder if this really does work? totally frustrated. AT&T rep said problem might be the phone but I have the most recent update. Help please

I'm guessing you're connecting through wifi. If you are wanting to use your data plan you'll blow that up on one game. In that case you should use your computer or tablet. I think you'll only get espn3.

Espn3 and Watchespn are the same website but have different programming available
Your uverse subscription may only cover espn3 and you selected a program available only on watchespn
If you can only get espn3 with uverse, you will need to watch programs with the espn3 logo beside them
This is how it works with Cox (what I have)

Thanks, I checked that and I do get ESPN3 but nothing else.
